School Begins as Does Latin Cardio

I just returned from having a celebratory drink (coffee, although in my case it was bottled water) with other moms at the local coffee shop. School began today. While most mom's were happy to see the day, I am bittersweet at it's return. It means the end of summer. No more sleeping in, or staying up really late. The days are dwindling now for pools and sprinkler fun. It's kind of sad to me.
I am now on my way to a torture session that I have scheduled. No, I am not into that... My friend Fabian is teaching one of his last dance classes. I think this one will last about 6 weeks. It is Latin cardio. He teaches the class on Thursday and Friday late mornings. Call the studio for more information. Join us! If anything, you are guaranteed a laugh with me even attempting it.
Fabian will still maintain his studio and oversee the operation. He has some very skilled dance instructors employed who will be teaching the classes. I saw Fabian working on the routine, I know that my body is in for some torture and abuse today. But it does need some whipping into shape. May God bless Fabian, there is much work to be done on this bod. In fact it needs a full over-all/tuning. I will post more later today......that is if I live through~!
I have a reunion post in the works....
Until then, Be well!

I dread the end of summer too! Enjoy the dancing! Wish I could be there too!

School starts there ALREADY?? Ours doesn't start until Sept. 2nd...except that my kids are all in summer pre-school three days a week. Three glorious mornings, all to myself. What more could a mother of three small kids want?!

HI, Leigh, I've been hearing about school starting from everyone. Guess it's time to get back in the routine.

We'll plan a yardsaling trip in Sept. I hope to scope out a neighborhood sale we can all go to.

I am not bittersweet about school starting (Monday), I am petrified! I am so scared seeing them go into such a huge school where they don't know ANYBODY. But God is good and he will take of them.

I am proud of you for taking the class. Believe it or not, as out of shape as I am right now, I had considered looking into a tap dance class down here. LOVE tap and it would be good excercise.

Stick with it! I hope you post video of you doing the cha cha or something salsa soon!!!

Fly girl! It was a blast. I survived. I am ready for more. MY only regret, my hips dont shake like Fabians. BUt I think it is a genetic default.

Trickie Nickie-I wish ours started that late. I rememember as a kid it did. I recall wearing a sweater to the bus stop on the first day of school, after Labor Day. No more cool morings that early in the season and certainly long gone are the days of going back to school after Labor day. EARLY AUGUST is way to early. Summer is so short.

Rhoda-Just say when and I will be there. SOunds like a blast!

Yall-I lived through class. Yeah! It rocked.

Jennifer- I can understand your concern. I too would be scared to death for them. And I am sure would cry a tear as I dropped them off on MOnday morning, but you are right. God will take care of them. I know that God has a plan for you, as he provided this job opportunity, and new home, new friends. It's His plan and that we can trust in. Have faith. I know you are all right where you are supposed to be right now. HUgs to you momma. I feel ya though.
And I wish I had videod today. the class was great. Really, I cannot explain the hip thing, you just have to see it. Watch Dancing with the Stars. It is mesmerizing. Like a pocketwatch in an old movie where you are entranced. And it isnt just me....my friends thought the same. Even my husband gets sucked in with envy.
I think you should take a class, meet some new friends, get out. It would be great for you!

Terri- I am alive. And I did partake of the Ashley Macs cake. But the cake cancelled out because of the excercise. I couldnt be in the same vacinity as Ashley Macs and not do the cake. Really, it is the best ever. I shall not eat another cake unless it is Ashley Macs. Or moms, or Z's. I shall not.

ok, I will try it, but I canbt image it would be as good as AM's.

It's awfully early for school to start, isn't it?

Good for you to take dance class. Any hints whether Fabian will return to DWTS this season?
