Since response to opening at 7:00am for picking blackberries during the cooler morning hours was so great, Petals From the Past will open at 7:00am on Saturday, June7 for Blackberries only. The blueberries are not quite ripe as yet and that field will be closed to u-pick until the day of the Black and Blueberry Festival on June 14.

Alabaster City Fest today! This is a great event, much like Helena's Buck Creek Festival. Jun 7, Alabaster Alabaster Cityfest 205-664-6840. http://www.cityofalabaster.com/. Free admission. Municipal Park—Another fun-filled event complete with arts and crafts, food, children's activities, inflatibles, and great music. Lucky...it's about 50 degrees here in WA and looks like it might rain at any time! Me and a group from the store are going a "Precision Shopping Cart Drill Team" for the Farmer's Day Parade today...just hope it doesn't start hosing on me as I either bike to work or push my cart in the parade!
