Tuesday Rambling in the Sincerest Form

I went into vote at the polls around 2PM today, thinking I would beat the morning and lunch crowds. I was impressed to see the amount of people at the polls. What an encouraging sign!! Things seemed to be running smoothly, except for my own ballot entry. Leave it to me! I marked my candidate and then began marking in delegates. That part of the ballot became confusing for me and I realized I had done it wrong. I was told that it had to be run and spit out before I could fill out a new one. I went up to Mr. Billy, who was issuing ballots, who branded mine a "REJECT!". "I beg your pardon!", I said back to him. Certainly, it was like being at Publix and needing a pricecheck on tampons..."Hey Jeff, we need a price check on Kotex". Where everyone looks up. HAHA! Every knew I was the "reject" {ballott}.....Oh well. LOL!
Apparently I went in at the right time and was able to alot of my favorite people. Mr. Childers was there, looking impeccably sharp. I teased him, looking like a running politician at the polls. He said, "When I run one day, maybe they will remember me!" Certainly so!! Mr. Billy (if you are familiar with the community-worked for the Helena police dept until a stroke forced him to retire) looked good. He was his usual jokester self, so I know he feels good. Speaking of feeling good, Frances, the mayors secretary was there looking as vibrant as her purple suit. She looked more like she had been on vacation rather than battling breast cancer. I also ran into my mother and father in law exercising their rights. My dear girlfriends, Mama Joy (who is so kind to always introduce me to new friends and spread my name for my Photography business) and BBJudy were also there. They have been working hard on the polls and absentee ballets for sometime now, I have missed seeing them. They agreed a margarita night was definitely in the future.

Speaking of a good time....Happy Fat Tuesday! If you are like me and cannot make it down to Mobile, "Nawlins", Fairhope or Lulu Buffetts in Gulf Shores, you are still in luck. Tonight at 6:30PM at Patton Creek Shopping Center, on Main Street, there will be a parade, complete with beads and moonpies. That is if it doesn't rain....which seems ominous. I missed my favorite meterologist, Brian Peters, working the polls today. I heard he was called into ranks...
I hope you have a wonderful Tuesday and eat a big ole moon pie. Lent is upon us and I beleive Moonpies are forbidden.
