No Pain, No Gain.

Today I spent the day both at the hospital and on my back. I had to be at the Hospital EARLY for pretesting for my scheduled endomentrial ablation (www.novasure.com) which is scheduled for next Tuesday. Not looking forward to it, but then again I am. The whole "being put to sleep" thing makes me uncomfortable (yes, I have had surgery before but still doen't help), as does the IV because for some reason they have a hard time getting a vein. I am looking forward to not having a monthly cycle (ok more than some wanted to know, but considered yourself educated). It has become so dreadful and painful. Today was all the "guinea pig testing" to see that I was normal "enough". My back spasimed this morning before I left, leaving me pretty much useless for the rest of the day. Nursing it now. Thank goodness I had to go to the hospital today, where my doc gave me some relief for it. Additionally, my calves are really letting me know they didn't appreciate the hike UP the mountain the other day (only me and Big Daddy did that one. His calves are talking to him too). I am paying for it now. Oh well.
No pain, no gain, right (on all subjects)?
Ug! Gonna go back to the couch......

Thank you for sharing this, Leigh. I have a couple of women that I know who might benefit from this info at Novasure. You'll be in my thoughts and prayers.

Everybody hates hospitals! You know, when I had my surgery, I was most concerned about being put to sleep----had never been put under before. My anesthesiologist gave me an i.v. while I was in my room----I totally missed the o.r. and recovery!! I woke up and I was still there in my room!! So, don't worry about it.
