Southern Museum of Flight

Yesterday I went with J Smooth and his class to the Southern Museum of Flight in Birmingham. It was interesting. The boys in the group were especially interested in the museum, which contained several different types of aircraft. The tour was narrated by Tom, who is a pilot from southern England. He was very informative, though some of his information was a bit to advanced for the age of students on the tour. The big delight was the making of airplanes, from balsa wood. There was a flying contest to see which team (boys vs. girls) flew better. Girls won. The Museum of flight is located just east of the Birmingham airport (Airport Exit off of I-59).
