We have had nothing but rain here in Alabama. The skies have been coudy and gray for as long as I can remember. Gray skies didn't allow the old black crows to stop by for a grand party, or perhaps it was a family reunion.
I heard them squacking before I even saw them in the trees. I kept hearing a ruckas and looked out my window to find the trees filled to capasity with the weight of the crows.
I hope you enjoy the "Old Crow Party".
Thankyou for taking the time to stop by Takes from Bloggeritaville!
I hope you will join us tomorrow for Thrifty Thursday, whether you link up or party hop, you're invited!

Where I lived before I moved here, we would get swarms of blackbirds to come thru the neighborhood about this time of the year. Loud and left a mess.
ReplyDeleteGreat photos. Reminds me of the movie The Birds.

We have these awful birds that we call crackles here. They are mean, messy and noisy. Even the city has tried to help with them. No luck.
ReplyDeleteI love the crows they are fun to watch. We have a lot of them, but no where near what you have. Happy Outdoor Wednesday! Denise

ReplyDeleteThis reminds me of the movie "The Birds" Alfred Hitchcock -- what a classic movie, scary without the gore -- In fact, I always think about it when I see lot's of blackbirds gathered and it's been years since I've seen it.

I LOVE the sound that a large flock of birds make when they roost in the trees. It is the coolest!
ReplyDeleteYour photos are amazing.
Leigh, that reminds me of the old nursery rhyme song that refers to "four and twenty blackbirds baked in a pie"! Neat shot!
ReplyDeleteXO,
Sheila :-)
