One of my favorite finds ever was this Betsey Johnson travel bag (below) that I found at a garage sale this summer. It was marked $10, I paid $8 for it. I found it online ,new, for retail of $395.00. NOw I would NEVER, EVER pay that for a purse. I have a rule that I shouldn't pay more for a purse than I have to put in it. And if you looked in my purse, you wouldn't find much.
At a consigment shop today, my mother pointed out this matching purse in a glass case.
It was also a Betsey Johnson and in the same line as my travel bag. A sign? I thought so. Really, what are the odds? I dont even look for purses, especially designer ones because they are out of my price range. I was afraid to look at the tag, but I mustered up the courage....$32.00. I hated to even pay $32.00 for a purse. After being so thrifty, it becomes hard. But, after giving it some thought, I took it home.
I did my online research and found my exact purse on this website, retail cost $295.00. So I did get a deal!
And have already put it to use. I LOVE it. So me!
Today is also Tablescape Thursday hosted by the lovely, Susan of Between Naps on the Porch..
My tablescape today uses burlap placemates, neutral plates in white, grey and brown tones. The glasses are clear with turquoise bottoms. All of my dishes can be found and purchased AT Home.

I invite you to stop by my food blog tomorrow for Foodie Friday!

Wow, what a great buy on the purse!! I haven't had a good purse since my daughter bought me a Fendi about 12 years ago!! I couldn't have gotten myself to pay that much! So this is great. Maybe I should start looking at GW. Word is it that they get good ones every once in awhile.

Great buys on those purses! $32 sounds like a lot but not when you buy an item that's worth $295!!! That's 90% off! Wow. Not even including the tax! You really scored with that one!

Wow -- those are amazing bargains on those bags. You are a thrifting STAR!

I love that table setting --those dishes look handmade and I am very attracted to that look. Plus the burlap placemats -- my mom and sister and I made almost identical ones more than 40 years ago! How nice to see similar ones here.
thanks!
